Launched today and making the rounds is Paper by FiftyThree. For the iPad, it looks like a nice refined sketch app. You can take notes with it, but Penultimate seems a bit more writing savvy.
The app itself is free with two basic pen and eraser tools. Additional tools are available as in-app purchasers for $1.99 each. It's nice that you get to try out the app before spending coin, but there is a preview of each tool before upgrading.
