The Thunderbolt to FireWire Adapter simply brings a FireWire 800 port into a Thunderbolt Mac. This accessory works with both FireWire 400 and FireWire 800 devices with only needing an 8-pin FireWire cable. The adapter is ideal for MacBook Air and MacBook Pro with Retina Display users as those computers have no FireWire ports. $29 MSRP.
