Mechanical keyboard offers a tactile touch, which can improve speed and accuracy while reducing fatigue. Previously I reviewed the Professional S for Mac, this is a similar keyboard but with different key switches. Also the keyboard layout is for Windows, although Mac users can configure around that. The Silent keyboard uses Cherry MX Brown switches, where the standard keyboard use Cherry MX Blue with a click-clack sound.
While not as quiet as a rubber dome keyboard, the Model S Profession Silent is quieter than other mechanical keyboards. MSRP of $135, retail around $120.
