NVIDIA last week announced the latest in its powerhouse Quadro line for the Mac. The Quadro K5000 graphics processor features support for 4K displays, 4 GB of memory, and NVIDIA's Kepler architecture. NVIDIA says the new Kepler GPU offers up to 2x performance with lower power consumption than the previous generation Fermi-based Quadro 4000.Other features include also support up to four displays at once, and power users can double up to install dual K5000 GPUs in the their Mac Pro. The high end GPU comes with a high-end price. Estimated street price on the Quadro 5000 is $2,249 and it's expected to ship later this year. NVIDIA
