Apple began taking pre-orders for the iPhone 5 on its website last night just after midnight Pacific time. In just over an hour, the online store reflected a change in shipping times. Initial orders were promised for launch day delivery on 9/21, but now list two week wait. If those times are accurate, that's a very short pre-order window. Last year Apple took in 1 million pre-sales within the first 24 hours on the iPhone 4S.
