The recent unpleasantness with the maps situation on iOS doesn't mean all is lost. Mapping for iOS users may no longer be a one-stop-shop found in a built-in app, but there are many options. This announcement from Google to open up Street View via Safari is some great news. Forget about Apple's Maps for a moment, just in general it's great to get this on the iOS.
To use the Street View feature, users will have to access Google Maps via the browser. When viewing a supported location, users click on the little "pegman" icon to activate the Street View. In addition to Street View, the online service still offers Google Maps features like transit, driving, biking, and walking directions.
